Active Acidophilus - 20 supplement is a 2-strain probiotic blend of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidus lactis offered in a unique shelf-stable capsule.

Each vegetarian capsule contains at least 20 billion viable microorganisms (average per capsule based on testing of 2 lots at 12 months) intended to provide nutritive support for the establishment and maintenance of favorable intestinal flora.

Probiotics are living microorganisms that help maintain the natural balance of microflora in the intestines. The normal human digestive tract naturally contains about 400 types of these beneficial bacteria that help reduce the growth of harmful bacteria and help support healthy digestive and immune system function.

A large population of these good bacteria can help keep bad bacteria, yeast and other compromising microbes from overpopulating the intestines.

FloraFIT Probiotic 2-Strain Blend was real time tested over 12 months. The L. acidophilus La-14 strain may contain less than 1% lactose residual from the original fermentation medium, but no dairy-derived components were used in any post-fermentation ingredients.

The B. lactis Bl-04 strain does not contain any dairy-derived components, neither from the fermentation medium nor the post-fermentation ingredients. The product is shelf stable up to 23C (74F) for one year, and its shelf life may be extended by refrigeration.

Microorganisms exert a beneficial effect on the digestive system. They are known to produce digestive enzymes and certain vitamins, support enzymatic activity, and help to rid the body of ammonia, a byproduct of metabolic function.
